What We Test

Three things that matter.

Flame Resistance

The silicone-coated fiberglass core is rated to 1200°F (650°C). We test direct flame contact, sustained heat exposure, and thermal transfer to confirm the blanket smothers fire without degrading.

Pass: 1200°F sustained

Silicone Encapsulation

Traditional fire blankets shed itchy fiberglass. The FireSafe's silicone coating fully contains the fiberglass core. We test bare-hand contact, folding, and deployment to confirm zero fiber shedding.

Pass: 0% fiber shedding

Field Deployment

A fire tool is useless if you can't deploy it fast. We test pull-to-deploy timing, one-handed operation, and effectiveness on campfire, cooking grease, and electrical fire scenarios.

CE EN-1869:2019

The European Standard EN 1869:2019 defines performance requirements for fire blankets used to extinguish cooking oil and fat fires. The FireSafe meets this standard, validated through CE-certified laboratory testing.
